IKONOS-2 is the world’s first commercial satellite providing panchromatic images with a resolution of 0.82 m and multispectral imaging (4 ranges: blue, green, red, infrared) with a resolution of 3.2 m. The average time of the visit is 3 days. In one day, the satellite is able to image 240,000 km2. Data obtained by IKONOS are used in maritime and air transport, military mapping, national security and administration.
